THE MEETING
This is one Nollywood movie synonymous to any Hollywood flick. Very typical
of what you would expect from Tyler Perry “WHY DID
I GET MARIED”. THE MEETING shot in Abuja,
is a story of a Lagos based corporate professional who in a serious pursuit of
a government contract, finds himself in a conflict between appeasing government
officials to make headway in his contract pursuit, falling in love at a time he
shouldn’t; a big distraction from his goal, and been a victim of the popular catch
phrase: ‘AFRICAN TIME’ syndrome.
A well scripted story written by Tunde
Babablola and produced by Rita Dominic and Mildred Okwo. THE MEETING is a classic movie. MAY18 NOLLYWOOD interviewed the director Mildred
okwo on the concept behind the movie and this he said: “We are excited about this
film because it is a truly Nigerian story that cuts across borders. Anybody
anywhere in the world will find something about this film to like. We are not
only introducing upcoming stars in Femi Jacobs and Linda I. Ejiofor but we are
also showcasing a different and dynamic Rita Dominic.” The
cast include: Rita Dominic, Linda I Ejiofor,
Femi Jacobs, Jide Kosoko, Kate Henshaw,
Basorge Tariah, Nse Ikpe Etim, and Chinedu Ikedieze.
